Nikon buckmaster 3-9x40 inspection is most likely the most expensive optics company on earth. By optics, I do not just mean scopes, but camera lenses, phone lenses, binoculars, spotting scopes, and the list continues on and on. Their rifle scopes range from budget friendly rimfire scopes for about a hundred dollars to pricey high-end scopes with built-in laser range finders. The nikon buckmasters ii 3-9x40 bdc review falls into their easy, more budget friendly scopes and retails for a bit more than two hundred dollars.

The Buckmaster 2 includes a variety of different magnification levels, also for this particular review we picked the further reaching four to twelve model (4-12), with a twenty six millimeter (40) purpose lens. The nikon buckmaster 2 3-9x40 range is rather simple and lacks strategic features.

Nikon Buckmaster 2 Unboxing & First Impression

The nikon buckmaster 3-9x40 range comes in a standard cardboard box with the usual developments, instructions, warranty info, etc.. I believe I want to say Nikon's brand new box shields the scopes pretty well. Some cardboard inserts maintain the mind in one place and keep it from bouncing around. The scope is really 3 ounces lighter than the first Buckmaster, and I really don't see any drop in quality or features . The Buckmaster 2 weighs 13.6 oz, which is nice and mild to get a 12 power scope.

Another alter the nikon Buckmaster 2 review implemented is all of the lenses are now fully multi-coated. The coating protects the lenses and also aids in light transmission and total optics clarity. This added optic's coating allows the nikon Buckmaster two to transmit up to 98 percent of light. When we moved to the scope this light transmission was clear.

The following improvement over the first Buckmaster is the accession of resettable turrets on the Buckmaster 2 gun scope. Resetting the turrets is simple and tool free. The turrets are spring loaded and everything you need to do is pull on the turret and you can rotate the turret top back to zero. Simple and simple I enjoy it. The turrets are finger tip adjustable, and rather than locks they have protective caps. To be honest out of the box I assumed the turrets would demand a tool, so that I was pleasantly surprised to find that.

The nikon buckmaster 2 3-9x40 magnification ring is topped with a small nub. This nub makes it easy to change the scopes power and supplies an accurate nonslip grip. I also like these small nubs or levers, they simply make things a lot simpler overall.

Typically BDCs are earmarked for a particular grade, bullet weight, and specific barrel length. This isn't so with the Buckmaster two, but in fact, that the BDC is really universal once you take the time to learn how to utilize it.

This is will get one to a ballistic calculator for Nikon optics. You select your optic, then your own caliber. There is basically every grade it is possible to imagine listed here, from the conventional 308, 223, and 243, to rounds like the 25 WCF, plus a few I had never even heard of. When you pick the caliber, you decide on the load. This list is another wide, and ranging list. Here you will see different industrial loads, and different weights, bullet types etc.. It is possible to pick one or personalize you have to your hand loaders on the market.

Then you put in your target space and zero space. After all that is done you are going to notice the reticle representation and BDC populate with amounts that provide you the range the BDC coordinates together with.

Personally, I printed the page and cut out a little card using the reticle and it has information before I moved shooting. There's also an Program by Nikon that really does the same thing if you prefer a more technological option. I enjoy writing it down so I have it on me. In addition to the app is buggy and will crash on my Droid.

Finally Getting To The Range nikon buckmaster 3-9x40

I zeroed the rifle at 100 yards with American Eagle 308 FMJ from an AR 10 rifle. The scope is probably more appropriate for a bolt gun, however, the AR 10 is increasing in popularity with hunters. We followed closely the ballistic information provided from the Nikon Spot On app and zeroed it with ease. The turrets provided nominal feedback and were just a bit too smooth, it was quite easy to accomplish a lot of clicks, and one had to be quite attentive.

The final dot at the BDC represented 490 yards with my ammo, and in a 500 yard known distance range it was spot on. Perhaps it was a couple of centimeters off, but it is perfectly suitable for hunting. Serious target shooters will likely prefer their own manual method of bullet drop, but for the majority of us this information will do the job.

We rang nikon buckmaster 3-9x40 review gongs, exploded clay pigeons, and place hole after hole into the chest of a man sized target. The optic was crystal clear and introduced an excellent sight picture. The eye box has been nice and broad, easy to get to the eye, and wide enough to accommodate the generous eye relief. Speaking of that you have loads of space to compensate for heavy recoiling calibers, and to make dynamic shots.

The nikon Buckmaster two is an excellent optic that provides users with a cheap and high quality option for hunters. The optic may not be able to go toe to toe with a Nightforce (read our Nightforce Atacr review), however as a simple searching optic it stinks.
